Masha Balovlenkov

Masha A. Balovlenkov began her artistic career in musical theater, but found dancing during high school while studying at the Peabody Conservatory.  Growing up in Baltimore, she began her professional career with AirDance Bernasconi while attending Goucher College. 

Also during her time at Goucher, she performed with Robert Moses, Roger Jeffray, and Kevin Iega Jeff.  She received a degree in dance with distinction and upon graduation, Mr. Jeff offered her a position as company apprentice with Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in Chicago. 

While living in Chicago, she performed with Paul Sanasardo, Dmitri Peskov, Nana Shineflug and Nathaniel Trice. 

She also choreographed for United Artist Pictures: The Express, a Ford Fiesta commercial, The Josh Weckessner Dance Spectacular, Dance Chicago, and the independent film Life Lessons.  She is currently a member of Kybele Dance Theater and co-artistic director of Fôr Dance Company.
