Leegan “LBoogz” Lim

Leegan was first introduced to the art of popping as a freshman in high school and has been hooked ever since. Since then, he has traveled around the world to train with a best. Just to name a few, he has learned from members of the renown Electric Boogaloos, Machine Gone Funk, Brand New Mind of Korea, and Co-Thkoo of Japan. Leegan recently moved to North Carolina to introduce the culture of funk and funk styles dance. He founded the freestyle crew, Photonic Phunk, in order to do so and serves as one of the lead artistic directors. He is a member of Winston-Salem’s prestigious Momentum Crew and the new Spitting Image Crew, helping them build the hip hop dance community one step at a time. Leegan embraces the motto: “once a student, always a student.” He strives to keep learning about the dance and grow as a dancer, while pushing the boundaries of funk styles culture through dance, choreography, education, and research.
